On this International Women's Day, we pay tribute to the women who fight every day for a better and more inspiring future, who have the courage to take a step forward and create brands inspired by stories and the women around them.

PÊRA LIMA

“What if we wore stories?”

It was with this question in mind that Patricia created Pêra Lima. This Portuguese clothing brand comes from the artist's passion for stories and painting. Pêra Lima stands out for its unique prints, based on illustrations, which tell stories inspired by the brand's founder's childhood, dreams and experiences during the 10 years she spent in Mozambique.

These stories come to life in a traditional way, through watercolours, drawings and paintings on canvas, which are then digitally transposed onto fabric. The result is unique, high-quality pieces, with elegant cuts and impeccable modelling, which come to life in the hands of Graça, another woman with a strong will and an easy smile who brings a little bit of her happiness to each of the pieces she makes.

The brand produces limited stocks to ensure quality and that each piece is truly special. Unique pieces for unique women.

If we talk about female empowerment we have to talk about Maray!

This Portuguese brand brings to flat shoes the style and confidence that is usually associated with high heels.

Created in 2017 by businesswoman Rita Corrêa Mendes, Maray continues its journey with Joana Trigueiros. As if by fate, Joana, who had been raised in a family linked to the footwear industry, began to manage the brand in 2019, throwing herself headfirst into this adventure, challenge after challenge and always maintaining the brand's positioning: confidence and comfort for fearless and empowered women.

The irreverent and elegant shoes, made of leather, were designed to maintain all the comfort necessary to face the challenges of a dynamic life filled with work, home and leisure.

FAVORITE PEOPLE

Favorite People is a Portuguese brand created in late 2022 by sisters Madalena and Rita Rugeroni. It was born from Rita's dream of creating something of her own, a brand that reflected her own style and that of her family. She was joined by her sister, Madalena, another entrepreneur who loves to roll up her sleeves and embrace new challenges.

The two sisters brought together their best childhood memories, with a touch of humor, to develop super colorful and fun patterns and prints for their pieces.

The brand's focus is on dungarees, a comfortable and practical piece that allows children to play freely. However, as it grew, the ideas began to come to life and, in the meantime, in addition to dungarees for children, the brand now has skirts, dresses and accessories, both for children and for fun and cheerful women who love to express their unique style through what they wear!

The goal remains the same: for children to play and explore the world around them, developing dungarees, a comfortable and practical piece, in cheerful and colorful prints, to provide the children who wear them with happy and fun moments so that they have a childhood full of stories to tell!

Zouri is a footwear brand that makes its shoes from plastic collected along the Portuguese coast. And who created this brand that combines style, comfort, sustainability and national pride in every pair of shoes? A woman! Adriana Mano paved the way in an extremely competitive sector in Portugal and created a brand based on her own values ​​and ethical issues. All of this brand's products are vegan and sustainable, made from recycled materials, organic cotton or pineapple skin. The brand's production is entirely done in Portugal, in a fair way and respecting the workers' conditions.

Zouri focuses on entirely local production, encouraging the creation or maintenance of jobs, with a focus on social justice, knowing that those who make the product are not exploited. The creator of this brand sees sustainability and entrepreneurship as fundamental pillars for creating a better and fairer world.

This brand has already brought Adriana several awards, a clear source of pride for all Portuguese women and proof that it is worth fighting for what we believe in.
