From the first doodles to the most innovative projects, pencils are one of the most present objects in our lives. As common as they are ignored, pencils are the starting tool for plastic expression or learning the written, mathematical or musical language.The manufacture of pencils in Portugal began in 1907 at the company which eventually became Viarco. This is still the only pencil factory in Portugal and is probably one of the most versatile in the world. Alongside its vintage products, which reflect the brand's history, the development of new research and experimentation projects results in a series of innovative drawing tools, marketed and awarded prizes all over the world.
